Every year beginning in October, the AJET community begins raising funds to organize a series of visits to the Child Welfare Centers across Tokushima during the month of December. We finish our fundraising with a beard auction following our annual Field Day event in November. Together, JETs and other members of the community visit over a half-dozen centers during the month to spend the afternoon with the children having fun, playing games, and ultimately giving every child a present for the holidays.
